Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary
The Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve in Spanish as Reserva de la Biosfera Mariposa Monarca and is also know as Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary or in Spanish Santuario de la Mariposa Monarca. The Sanctuary is located in the Mexican State of Michoacán de Ocampo approximately 125km ( Mi) east of the City of Morelia. This trip will take you about 2 hours from Morelia or about 4 hours from my base in Uruapan.
I have not yet had the opportunity to visit. It is on my bucket list. Being from Minnesota (The other end of Monarch Migration) I have a strong interest in this experience.
